Understanding your Lock Dashboard
The lock dashboard gives you full control and visibility over each individual lock. Here’s what you’ll find:
1. Users
Add new users and assign access individually. This allows you to track who’s using the lock and when.
2. Remote Unlock
This button will appear once the WiFi Bridge is set up. It enables you to unlock and manage the lock remotely, even when you’re not nearby.
3. My Access
This section shows all access permissions linked to your account. The first default user will be you (the owner).
4. Lock Settings
Tap the settings icon to configure this specific lock. Each lock has its own settings, accessible through its respective dashboard.
5. Records
View the activity log of all users here. Tap Refresh icon to update the records. To refresh successfully, you must either be within Bluetooth range or have an active WiFi Bridge connection.
Managing Individual User Profiles
Within each user’s profile, you can:
- Add or remove access methods – including fingerprints, passcodes, contactless cards/fobs, and eKeys.
- Set access schedules – limit their access to specific dates and times.
- Assign admin rights – grant admin status to allow them to manage the lock.
- Rename the user – personalise or update their name as needed.
Setting Access Time Limits
This feature allows you to control when a user can access the lock. You can choose either:
– A time range (e.g. from a guest’s check-in time to their checkout)
– A recurring schedule (e.g. specific hours on Mondays)
Important:
Time limits must be set before registering the user’s access (e.g. fingerprint, passcode, or eKey).
If access is already registered, you’ll need to delete it, set the time restrictions, and then re-register the access.
Add Fingerprints:
Please Note: If you wish to limit a user’s access to a specific time and date, you must set these restrictions before adding their fingerprint. Once a fingerprint is added, time restrictions cannot be applied. You will need to delete the fingerprint and re-enrol it after setting the schedule.
To add a fingerprint:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to add the fingerprint for.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap the Fingerprint icon in the users profile.
- Place and hold your finger on the lock’s sensor.
– Imagine you’ve just arrived – use the same natural touch you’d typically use.
– Hold your finger for 1–2 seconds each time.
– Repeat the process when prompted; after four successful scans, you’ll see a confirmation message. After that, the fingerprint will appear in the user’s profile, where you can manage or remove it.
Best Practices for Fingerprint Setup
- We recommend registering the same fingerprint multiple times for improved recognition.
- Enrol fingerprints from both hands, if possible, in case one is unavailable due to full hands or other reasons.
Deleting a Fingerprint:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to delete the Fingerprint from.
- In the user’s profile, under the Access List, tap the Fingerprint you want to remove.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap Delete Fingerprint. The app will attempt to connect to the lock and, once the Fingerprint is successfully removed, you’ll receive a confirmation message.
Add Passcodes:
Please Note: If you wish to limit a user’s access to a specific time and date, you must set these restrictions before adding their passcode. Once a passcode is added, time restrictions cannot be applied. You will need to delete the code and re-register it after setting the schedule.
To add a Passocde:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to assign a passcode to.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap the Passcode icon within the user’s profile.
- Enter your desired code in the Custom Code field.
- Tap Set to save the passcode on the smart lock.
Once you tap Set, the app will attempt to connect to the lock. When the new passcode is successfully saved on the device, you’ll receive a confirmation message.
Deleting a Passcode
- Tap on the user profile you wish to delete a passcode from.
- In the user’s profile, under the Access List, tap the Passcode you want to remove.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap Delete Passcode. The app will attempt to connect to the lock and, once the passcode is successfully removed, you’ll receive a confirmation message.
Creating and Sending eKeys
By selecting Send eKey (as shown in the figure), you can create and share an electronic key with friends, family members, your maid, dog walker, or even Airbnb guests.
To use the eKey, the recipient must download the Simpled app and create an account. This allows you to track when and how the eKey is used.
Please Note: If you wish to limit a user’s access to specific dates and times, you must set these restrictions before assigning the eKey. Once an eKey has been added, time limitations cannot be applied. You’ll need to delete the eKey and reassign it after setting the schedule.
To send an eKey:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to assign the eKey to.
- Tap the eKey icon within the profile.
- Enter the recipient’s name and email address.
- Choose whether the recipient should be allowed to unlock the door remotely.
- Tap Send to share the eKey.
Deleting an e-key
- Tap on the user profile you wish to delete an eKey from.
- In the user’s profile, under the Access List, tap the eKey you want to remove.
- Tap Delete eKey. The app will communicate with the server and remove this access.
Program a Card, Proximity Fobs, Phone Tag Stickers:
Before a proxy fob or sticker can open the lock, it is required to be programmed first.
Please Note: If you wish to limit a user’s access to a specific time and date, you must set these restrictions before adding their contactless fob. Once a card is programmed, time restrictions cannot be modified. You will need to delete the card access and re-enrol it after setting the schedule.
Adding a Contactless Card or Fob:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to assign a card or fob to.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap the Card icon in the user’s profile.
- Wait a few seconds while the lock enters programming mode.
- Hold the card or fob against the reader icon on the smart lock until you receive a confirmation.
Deleting a Card
- Tap on the user profile you wish to delete a Card from.
- In the user’s profile, under the Access List, tap the Card you want to remove.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Tap Delete Card. The app will attempt to connect to the lock and, once the Card is successfully removed, you’ll receive a confirmation message.
Assigning Admin Access
This feature allows you to grant admin rights to a user, enabling them to manage access—such as adding new users or registering their own fingerprint on the smart lock. This is ideal for roles like a receptionist, new tenant, family member, etc.
To assign admin access:
- Tap on the user profile you wish to make an admin.
- Tap Add Admin Access.
- Enter the user’s email address.
- Tap Assign Admin Access to complete the process.
Unlocking Records:
In the lock’s dashboard, tap on Records to view a full log of access activity.
