Which Multipoint Lock Mechanisms Are Compatible with Our Smart Locks?

Applies To SS Series,  Slim Series,  EF-SP,  DFF-SP, TF-SP

Selecting the correct multipoint lock mechanism (gearbox) is essential for the proper operation of your smart lock. The options below are multipoint mechanisms that have worked successfully with customer installations. Other multipoint mechanisms may also be suitable, provided they meet the required specifications.

Multipoint Mechanisms Commonly Used

The following multipoint lock mechanisms are commonly used with our compatible smart lock ranges:

  • Maco A-TS

  • Winkhaus AV2

  • GU Secury

  • Fuhr 833

  • Compdoor Auto-Fire Lock

These are examples of known working options.
There may be other compatible mechanisms not listed here.

Important Requirement:
The mechanism must have a single spindle, not a double spindle.

Offset spindles are frequently incompatible with our locks. If all functions of the lock can be operated solely by the top spindle, there is a high probability that the mortise will be compatible with our Slim Series smart locks.

Alternative: Single-Point Locking

If multipoint locking is not required, you can use:

  • A compatible mortice lock from the Accessories section of our website

  • Together with one of our supported smart locks

This provides reliable single-point locking without a multipoint gearbox.

New Doors – Backset Selection

If the door is brand new, the backset size depends on your preference and door design.

There is no fixed required backset — selection should be based on:

  • Handle positioning preference

  • Door style

  • Aesthetic choice

Ensure the selected backset aligns with your door preparation before installation.
