Want to Use Apple HomeKit? Choose the Matter Gateway (G6)

The Matter Gateway (G6) is the only gateway in our range that can connect directly to Apple Home and be managed via Apple HomeKit.

If you are using Apple devices and want full integration with the Apple ecosystem, this is the model you need.

All other gateways in our range are limited to:

Alexa

And Google Assistant

They do not support Apple HomeKit.

The G6 is different because it supports the Matter protocol, which enables direct compatibility with Apple’s smart home ecosystem.

What Does This Mean for You?

With the Matter Gateway (G6), you can:

•Add your smart lock to the Apple Home app

•Control your lock from your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Siri

•Include your lock in Apple Home automations

•Manage access remotely (when a Home Hub is set up)

•Control everything inside one ecosystem instead of switching apps

Without the G6, Apple Home integration is not possible.

What You Need Before Connecting to Apple Home

To manage your lock through Apple HomeKit, you must have:

An iPhone or iPad running the latest iOS/iPadOS

The Apple Home app (pre-installed on Apple devices)

An Apple Home Hub (required for remote access), such as:

HomePod mini

HomePod (2nd generation)

Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or newer)

The Matter Gateway (G6) connected to Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)

If you do not have an Apple Home Hub, you can still control the device locally when at home, but remote control will not work.

How to Connect the G6 to Apple Home

Follow these steps carefully:

Step 1 – Set Up the Gateway

Plug the G6 into power using the USB-C cable (5V / 500mA).

Complete the standard setup so it is connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Confirm the gateway is online in the lock’s main app before continuing.

Do not proceed unless Wi-Fi connection is confirmed.

Step 2 – Add to Apple Home

Open the Home app on your iPhone.

Tap the "+" icon.

Select Add Accessory.

Scan the Matter QR code supplied with the G6.

If scanning fails, choose the option to enter the setup code manually.

Assign the lock to a room.

Complete the setup prompts.

Once added, your lock will appear inside the Apple Home app.

Important Notes

Only the Matter Gateway (G6) supports Apple Home integration.

Other gateways (such as G2) cannot be upgraded to support Apple Home.

You must keep the gateway powered at all times.

Your Wi-Fi network must remain stable for remote access.

Removing the gateway from Apple Home will require re-pairing.

Who Should Choose the G6?

You should choose this model if:

You use Apple devices daily.

You want Siri voice control.

You want all smart devices managed inside Apple Home.

You want future-proof Matter compatibility.

If you are using only Alexa or Google Assistant and do not need Apple integration, other gateways may be sufficient.
