Temporary Fix for Top Fixing Hole Too Small
Temporary installation option when the brass screw stub cannot pass through the door fixing hole
In some installations, the top fixing hole in the door may be too small for the brass screw stub supplied with the lock to pass through.
A temporary workaround is possible by reversing the positions of the brass screw stub and the fixing bolt. This allows the lock to be mounted until a proper permanent fixing can be installed.
Temporary Installation Method
If the brass screw stub does not fit through the top fixing hole:
-
Reverse the positions of the brass screw stub and the fixing bolt
-
Install the lock using the reversed configuration
-
Ensure the lock is securely fixed to the door
This can allow the lock to be used while waiting for the correct hardware.

Important Limitation
When the brass screw stub is installed in this reversed configuration:
-
The battery cover cannot be fitted
Because of this, the method should only be used as a temporary solution.
Permanent Solution
For a permanent installation, replace the reversed brass stub with the correct M5 nut and washer
Once the correct hardware is installed, the battery cover can be fitted normally, and the lock will function as intended.
