Installing and setting up the smart app - TTLOCK

You can skip ahead to the next section if the app is already installed

TTLock -App Store and Google Play (Icons)The TTLock application is available for download
from the App Store   or   GooglePlay

    1. Download the “TTlock App” from the App Store or Google Play by either
      - Using the links above
      - Searching the “TTLock” app
    2. Sign up for a TTlock account and register that account using either your email address or your phone number
    3. Next, add the smart OA Keypad to the device list. You need to have both the keypad and the lock showing on the device list in the app before being able to link them

Now activate the keypads’s Bluetooth by touching the CARD icon in the middle of the keypad.
    4. Tap on “+ Add Lock” and select  "All Locks" , don't worry about all the different types offered, just select All Locks

    5. In the “Nearby Locks” list, select the non-greyed out device that has appeared.
    6. Rename the keypad with a descriptive name so you can tell it apart from the lock
    7. The keypad has now been added successfully.

Test the Bluetooth unlocking function

Try to open the keypad by tapping on the “Padlock Icon”. Please ensure there is
no problem with Bluetooth communication, and that the phone is within the
5-meter range of the Keypad. It helps to touch the "CARD" label in the middle of he keypad which livens up the Bluetooth.

Linking this fingerprint/keypad accessory to the lock

As this OA-SP module is both a fingerprint sensor and a keypad it does not fit the standard linking selection in the app, so instead it needs to be linked to the lock using the Add Remote Controller option

STEPS

  1. Add the keypad to the app, so both the lock and the keypad are visible in the app
    1. Please locate the Keypad's pre-set Admin Passcode which is found in Settings, Basic for the keypad, it is the last option at the bottom of the list in Basic. Then write down this code (you can't copy and paste it unfortunately).
  2. On the lock itself on the app, tap on the icon for Remote.
    1. Click on + Add Remote at the  bottom of the screen
    2. Select Permanent from the three tabs now at the top of the screen
    3. Give it the name Keypad
    4. Click on Next
    5. Ignore the instructions for a normal Remote, instead,

Click on Next  to go to the Nearby Devices screen
    6. Leave the phone on this screen and now go back to the physical Keypad

  3. Physically on the OA-SP keypad,
    1. Wake up the keypad by touching the "CARD" label
Press * 813 #  (STAR+813+HASH) you should hear two beeps

    2. Next type in the Administrator Passcode + #  that's the Administrator Passcode you wrote down already
    3. Now  type 1 # on the keypad to enter Pairing Mode
    4. The lock will beep then it will only stay in pairing mode for 3-4 seconds, so you need to be ready to select the keypad as soon as it appears on the Add Lock screen for the lock itself
Just hit the + sign next to the serial number listed

It can be hard to coordinate those steps, so if it doesn't work, start all over again from Step 2.  Add Remote
  4. When successfully linked, test that an unlock action using an already added Fingerprint, Fob, Tag or Passcode makes the keypad flash Green, and then with a slight delay, the lock itself opens.

Just remember that the external keypad and the actual smart lock will have different sets of passcodes, fobs and fingerprints.
The full set of passcodes and fobs/tags (but not fingerprints) can be imported from one to the other by  using the "Import from another lock" option in Settings in either device.

To Add Fingerprints to the OA fingerprint/keypad:

  1. Open the the OA fingerprint/keypad in the app
  2. Select the Fingerprint icon
  3. Choose a name for later reference “ It helps you to recognise the fingerprint in the unlocking reports”.
  4. Choose whether you want to create limited-time or permanent access.
  5. Then start and press your fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor as many times as the app requests. You will then see a message say that the fingerprint has been successfully added.
  6. Now test the fingerprint.
  7. If a particular fingerprint is not easily recognised, we would advise you to create 3-4 instances of exactly the same fingerprint to multiply the probability of first time recognition for that user.

FAQ:

1. Why can’t I open the door after the passage mode is enabled?

You need to unlock the door with any method first before passage mode to takes effect.

2. What is the purpose of Auto Lock?

The auto-lock is a safety feature to relock the door a set number of second after you have unlocked it. The period is preset to five seconds but can be changed  to any length you want in: Lock -> Settings -> Auto Lock.

3. Why does the app consumes power?

It may be due to:
1. Standby power consumption keeping the bluetooth available over time
2. A short circuit (but this is much less likely)

4. Why does the touchpad have no response?

a) In this case, first check that the batteries have been installed correctly and have enough power
b) Remove the back panel and see if it is properly connected.

5. Why can't I register my fingerprint?

Check the fingers and fingerprint sensor for dirt or any wear. Also check to see if the fingerprint sensor works properly (press to see if there is any response).

If a particular fingerprint is not easily recognised, we would advise you to create 3-4 instances of exactly the same fingerprint to multiply the probability of first time recognition for that user.

6. How do the two types of Alarm work?

Too Many Attempts Alarm
- After 5 failed attempts by any method, a loud alarm will go off for 30 seconds. After the alarm has stopped sounding, you can then try again.

There is no way to disable this alarm from being in use, and once triggered it cannot be turned off, except by removing the batteries from the inside battery compartment, so if you are outside and the door is locked, there is no way to silence the alarm.

Tamper Alarm - This is triggered if somebody tries to lever open the front lock casing from the outside after it is fitted and powered up.

Once triggered the Tamper Alarm cannot be turned off, except by removing the batteries from the inside battery compartment, so if you are outside and the door is locked, there is no way to silence the alarm.
